Guthrie Memorial Teen Writer's Club

Guthrie Memorial Teen Writer's Club
The Guthrie Memorial Library Round Table Writers, so named for the table in our meeting room, have been sharing ideas and stories since November, 2010. We have been visited by Hanover Poet Laureates past and present, and we welcome any opportunity to learn more about the art of writing.

An unused brain,
like gears strangled by thick cobwebs,
motionless, silent, a hallow shell,
nothing exists in that pitch black abyss,
just a void of creation and ideas,
lifeless and in need of repair,
a spark of motivation, purpose, will,
something to turn the coggs,
and plunge a beat of life
back into the heart
of this lifeless corps.
